What's your vice?

Everyone has that thing that they think is so great that they would never want to give it up if they had to.

Whether you're one of the few perfect beings in our universe or not it's probably certain that you know what you like to do and what to consume. Among the things you love you know what the best is.

If you like a vice then you know what your favorite thing is about that vice. It may be a constant high, a sense of empowerment, an adrenaline rush or some other feeling that is too intoxicating to want to do away with.

Pleasure. Most people want it. Some people thing they need it more than anything.

Eventually most people get tired of vices that were never meant to last. Vices you wouldn't see a God dipping into. Some of those vices take a while to get over. Some vices are so powerful that they will lead us to death much quicker than we'd find it otherwise.

People with terrible upbringings usually find a vice to give them a fix of pleasure while until they overcome their terrible upbringing. It was no surprise for me to find myself drawn to video games as a vice from a young age. My upbringing was littered with experiences that screwed me up in the head.

I see myself coming out of my vices but I won't forget the intoxicating effect(like hypnosis) they've had on me.

When you consider products you've become a great fan of then you probably know what the best of them are. Owning the best of something of great value is often esquisite. If you like to do good or evil you may hope to acquire the tools and trophys of greatest value in your quest for lasting joy or pleasure.

In the future I hope to build the best business engine of all time, the best Ladder system of all time and a few other components into the same system to be enjoyed by the masses.

Without further Adieu I share a taste that I make esquisite. It's a 'you'd have to have been there' or 'you'd have to participate to really appreciate what you see an experience' . It's been a long time vice.

It's a game I'd rate as a vice because it has an addicting factor. It's a treasure hunting game and afterall we're all here just to hunt for the treasures of eternity. Every man is a treasure hunter and he may or may not know it.

In life many of the things we love may just be good numbers. Here's a ladder of numbers that combine to empower the hero(s) I play on Diablo 3.

This is my Diablo 3 Item Ladder including items earned up till 4-12-2015.

#1 Cold Damage Eye of Elitch. For high level Greater Rifts a Monk(or any hero for that matter) needs an Eye of Elitch for its defensive value. The problem is rolling the right element, high crit damage and crit chance--not to mention a socket as well. This one has all those stats. it's -2% cold and 8% crit damage away from what most people would consider perfection. My Dashing

Strike monk does over 2 billion in damage per crit to elites after I disable and have buffed Restraint and Focus. I use Cold dashing strike for its defensive value of 40% dodge. I can solo high greater rifts. I've been nationally ranked for beating a greater rift of 46 & likely can defeat a greater rift 47 & above.

#2 The Furnace I use on my Cold dashing strike Monk. Dashing strike is so expensive it's important to have at least 25% resource cost reduction. Either 10 cooldown reduction or 10 resource cost reduction is a must. 10 / 10 4100+ ancient furnace. Can't complain about those stats.

#3 Perfect Lightning Stone of Jordan.  Although patch 2.2 made many rings worth much less due to the buffs on Restraint and Focus this Stone of Jordan is one of a kind. It has everything a lightning monk needs on it and the socket. Perfect lightning and vs elite rolls. All good jewelry has a socket to fix legendary gems into.

#4 Maurader's Treads. This set has every mod a Marauder Demon hunter needs. Dex, Vit, resists and 15% cluster arrow--and it's ancient.

#5 Near Perfect Ouroboros. I said that all an amulet needs is an elemental damage type(15-20), Crit damage, crit Chance and a socket but virtually no amulets you find will spawn with all 4. I'm never seen one spawn with all 4. You usually find 3 and then re-roll the 4th. This one happens to have perfect cold and crit chance rolls. it's 3 crit damage shy of perfection. The variable from crit damage is 50-100% so this one is still on the high end. The secondary mods on most great items aren't very important. Its offensive value is greater than the Eye of Elitch viewable above but I don't use this for greater rifts above 35.

#6 One of the best Furnaces you'd ever see prior to ancient items being released. Without attack speed the highest Furance you'd see would be around the 3775 range.

#7 & 8. Focus and Restraint. 7 is the number that represents completion and is nearly everyone's good luck #. This pair of Focus and restraint is used on my Cold Dashing strike monk and is about as good as you'll ever see on anyone. Perfect crit damage on both(out of 26-50), perfect crit chance on one(out of 4.5, 5, 5.5 & 6) and perfect cooldown reduction on the other(out of 5-8). On diablo 3 a higher number is virtually always better than a lower mod for most mods. Most people that know Diablo 3 will eye these 2 rings together and feel their mouth start to water.

#9 Ancient Parthan Defenders. This one has been rerolled for 20% cold damage instead of lightning. Perfect dex and crit rolls, perfect elemental value and they're the best bracers(in terms of defense value) available to people that freeze or stun their enemies. I do fantasize about finding one that's ancient but I haven't been lucky enough to find one.

#10 Another Ancient Parthan Defenders but of course this one is less potent but

still good.

#11 Vigilante Belt. Ancient quality is as good as it gets. This one has all the mods

you'd ever need for such a belt.

#12 Marauder's Gloves. This one has all 3 mods you need, perfect crit chance,

good crit damage and a prefect reroll for resource cost reduction.

# 13 Great Natalya's reflection. Every mod is present with  socket, perfect crit chance,

nearly prefect crit damage and a secondary resist. Could be better but it's definately

worth keeping although I don't use it at the present.

#14 Great Strongarm Bracers. These are the best Guantletts you can find for a

phalanx Crusader, exellent for barbs that deal knock back  and it happens to have all

4 mods that are needed along with  a perfect reroll for physical damage,  but more

importantly a perfect 30% more damage roll for enemies that are knocked back.

# 15 Another great Stone of Jordan. Perfect Lightning(out of 16-20) and perfect %

damage to elites(26-30) make this ring stand out. It also rolled with a high crit chance

and that is great on some builds.

#16 Ring of Royal Grandeur(Strength). This one is as good as it gets. Socket, perfect cd % and a high strength value.

#17 Strongarm Bracers. A perfect roll for Cold damage%. Perfect Crit chance. So good I rerolled the secondary mod instead of the dex because I needed a resist over the "increases Gold and health pickup by x yards"

#18 Strongarm Bracers rerolled for Holy Damage. Same thing but not quite as good because Holy isn't as popular and the secondary mod is bad.

#19 Sunwuko's Balance. Perfect dex roll with vit resists and cooldown.

That's about all you need if you use Wave of Light.

#20 Sunwuko's Paws. All the stuff you need on Sunwuko's paws. Almost perfect crit damage and crit chance. Perfect cooldown reductiong and a secondary resist. Too bad they're not ancient.

#21 Rogar's Huge Stone. 1 strength stat from perfection. Perfect attackspeed and perfect crit damage. Great for any hero that prefers to regen their life like a mad man.

#22 Very Solid Stone of Jordan.  Enuff said.

And now for my Ghetto(but great) ladder:

#1 Blackthornes Duncraig Cross. Not really ghetto in terms of stat figures but the Blackthorne's set seems to be used... never by anyone great.

#2 physical skill soj. Has all 4 mods you want yet the physical and elite % are poor.

#3 Leoric's crown. All the stuff you want on a Leoric's crown if you have a phalanx paladin except that the mods are poor.

#4 Leoric's Crown(for Monk). this one has a perfect 100% effect for the gem that is put into it. 100% are hard to come by. It also has dex vit and crit chance. It has everything you need except the dex and vit are both low rolls.

#5 Eye of Etlich. Perfect roll for cold skill, crit damage and crit chance: a very rare roll. The only thing that's bad is that it doesn't have a socket so no one great is gonna use it.

#6 Band of the Rue Chambers: This ring used to be very good back in the days of the old wave of light monk. At the present virtually no one good uses it because there are much better alternatives.

#7 Aughild's Rule: Everyone has an Aughilds that has everything they need for

the character type that needs it, whether it be bracers, armor or shoulders.

The thing this one leaves to be desired is the fact that it's not ancient in quality.

#8 The Final Witness: This shield has everything a shild could ever need!! ...Except it's not Frydehr's Wrath or Unrelenting Phalanx so it makes it worth a lot less. 10 crit chance, primary attribule, 8% cooldown and 15% to your signature attack is as much as anyone should expect.

Although the intoxicating draw of this game isn't a thing I expect a perfect man would play I still need to discuss it. I class it as a vice because it can draw you in and draw attention away from things in your life of greater value. We become viced by it because the violence we engage in is toxic. We get high off of the toxins the mind releases as well as the reward for playing it(in treasure).

My Monk was good enough to make it in the top 1000 in the Greater Rift ladder as you can see below: MagusFTW#1295.

I completed a higher rift after wards as you can see:

At the present the highest rift I reckon I could clear would be a GR 48 but I haven't spent enough time trying to clear one.

With the buffs that come from my ally we beat a 51. No doubt I could beat it with a better time if Firmhand was up to it.
